Tattoo Basics by Getsom3ink
I offer intensive training in the basics of tattooing, intended for people wishing to learn this profession in a serious, supervised and personalized environment.
The training combines theory and practice, in order to transmit the essential technical and artistic foundations to begin in tattooing.
The training sessions take place in person at the trade fair.
I offer only one training session per month, in order to be able to properly support each student.
Training programs
Two options are available
Individual training (1:1)
Training in individual support, allowing for fully personalized follow-up.
Duration: 5 days (30 hours)
Opening hours: 12pm – 6pm
Price: €2500
Nouveau : Formation Duo
In this format, two students follow the training together over the same 5 days. This allows them to learn in a collaborative dynamic while benefiting from supervised support.
Price for duo training: €2000 per person (instead of €2500)
How does the duo option work?
Two possibilities:
1) You come with another person
If you know someone who would like to take the training with you, you can register directly together. (Each of you must fill out the form and write the name of the person you want to take it with.)
2) You want the duo training but you are alone
You can register using the form by choosing duo.
If another person also wants this format, I will do what is necessary to propose a joint training date.
The delivery time may vary depending on demand.
If you wish to start training more quickly, individual training remains the ideal option for this.
Training program
The training covers the essential elements of tattooing and combines theory and practice to build a solid foundation for starting out in this profession.
Each day allows you to gradually approach the different technical stages of tattooing.
Day 1 — Essential Basics
We begin with the foundations of the profession:
• History and culture of tattooing
• hygiene and safety principles
• Skin anatomy and implications for tattooing
• theory of different techniques
• basic drawing skills adapted for tattooing
You have mastered the theoretical foundations to approach the practical aspects with confidence.
Day 2 — Lining
This day is dedicated to outlining, a fundamental step in tattooing.
We will be discussing, in particular:
• preparing an efficient workspace
• the operation of the equipment
• needle depth
• the different needle sizes
• control of movement and line
You start practicing in order to develop precision and stability.
Day 3 — Packing
We work with filling techniques, which allow us to give density, contrast, and structure to the tattoo. We cover:
• the choice of needles
• ink saturation
• the technical skills that allow for a clean and durable finish.
You learn to fill areas evenly for a sharp and lasting contrast.
Day 4 — Shading
This day is dedicated to shading techniques, which allow you to bring relief, depth and subtlety to the tattoo.
You will discover two versatile techniques, allowing you to obtain different results and styles.
We also discuss the equipment and settings suitable for these techniques.
You create nuanced shading for a sophisticated relief.
Day 5 — Completion of a full project
To conclude the training, we bring together the different skills learned during the week.
You will complete a full project, applying the different stages of tattooing:
• tracing
• filling
• shade
The goal is to understand the overall logic of constructing and executing a tattoo.
You design and execute a complete tattoo, incorporating all techniques.
Final exam
A practical assessment is carried out approximately one month after the training (or later if you wish more time to practice, it can take as long as necessary).
A certificate of completion is awarded after validation.
What the training includes
• Personalized follow-up after training (short and long term)
• Complete syllabus in A4 book format + PDF
• Regular updates of the content in PDF format
• Use of the salon's professional equipment during training
Depending on the student's progress, the possibility of working in the salon may be considered later.
Very important
Learning tattooing on your own can take a long time, with many trials, errors, and sometimes technical habits that slow progress.
The aim of this training is to provide you with the technical basics and essential knowledge of the profession in just a few days, so that you can progress more quickly and avoid some common mistakes.
While 5 days is obviously not enough to become an experienced tattoo artist, students generally leave with a considerable level of technical understanding, and I'll always be there to support you.
It is important to remain transparent: no training can guarantee success in this profession.
Tattooing requires practice, discipline, and perseverance.
However, if after the training you continue to practice seriously, develop your drawing and build your presence in the field, you will have a solid foundation and a real advantage over someone who starts alone without guidance.
This training therefore represents above all a structured starting point and support, which can save you valuable time in your development.
Target audience
This training is intended for people who have:
• an artistic foundation
• a creative vision
• the ability to draw straight lines freehand
Experience in tattooing is not required, but an aptitude for drawing is essential.
Reservation
Once the dates are confirmed, the reservation is secured with a deposit of €500 per person.
The remaining payment is due before or at the start of the training.
